Answers
1)  Q When may students exchange books?
A
Kindergarten, first grade and second grade students may exchange books from 7:50 - 9:15 daily. Third, fourth, and fifth graders may checkout from 7:50 - 9:15 once during the week that they do not have library class. The rest of the day is devoted to reading groups and class time. Kindergarten students have media class time every week. First through fifth grade students come every other week.Classes may come in for special projects or to do research anytime.
2)  Q How many books may a student check out at a time? When are the books due?
A
Students in grades 1-5 may check out 2 books at a time. Kindergartners are allowed 1 book at a time. The books are due after two weeks. Students may bring in the book to renew if they are not finished reading.
3)  Q What if a student loses or damages a book?
A
A student is required to pay the replacement cost of a lost book. If a book is damaged, the fine depends on the price of the book. There are no overdue fines.
4)  Q How many books are in the Midway School library?
A
There are over 18,000 books.
5)  Q How many years has the library media specialist been at Midway?
A
This is Mrs. Wooten's second year at Midway. Before coming here, she taught 4th grade at Fair Grove, 6th grade at NDMS, was media specialist at Churchland, and lead teacher at NDMS.
