Earn College Credit!
Earn college credit through the North Carolina Community College system while attending high school!
An Articulation Agreement is a systematic, seamless student transition process from high school to college that maximizes use of resources and minimizes content duplication. Many courses within a Pathway or Cluster allow students to receive community college credit. Eligible students must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Receive a final grade of 85 or higher in the course, and;
- Receive a final exam score of 93 or higher on the standardized CTE Post-assessment.
To receive articulated credit, students must enroll at the community college within two years of their high school graduation date.
For example: If a student elects to complete the Business Pathway, he/she may elect to take the following high school courses:
Principles of Business and Finance
Career Management
Computer Applications I
Small Business Entrepreneurship
The student has received an 85 or higher final grade in each course and has obtained a final exam score of 93 or higher on each CTE Post-assessment. The student would receive the following articulated credit from the North Carolina Community College system to be utilized at the community college of their choice.
