Key Elements to
Project-Based Learning with Technology
-
Begin with an essential question that is rooted in the
curriculum.
-
Use technology tools to assist with inquiry, expression,
communication, construction, and presentation.
-
Students construct a product (visible or not) that
demonstrates what they have learned.
-
Evaluation of the project/product is done with a rubric
that students are aware of from the beginning (no surprises).
-
Bring in the real-world. This is a perfect time for
field-trips, speakers, video conferencing, and email.
-
Students present their product/findings to an audience
(fellow students, parents, experts, etc.)
