From the Principal and Assistant Principal Issue 1 - September 2012 Welcome back to school! We would like to welcome back all of the students and parents of first through fifth graders. Welome to all the kindergarten students and the parents of those students who are new to Reeds. The staff at Reeds has been hard at work preparing for the arrival of students. The faculty and administration look forward to working with you and your student to make this a productive school year. Please remember we are always here to listen to your concerns and suggestions. Issue 2 October 2012 It is hard to believe that we are already halfway throught the first nine weeks of school. Staff and students have all been very busy! Please remember to take time to read with your child and be a part of their education by supporting homework completion and asking your child what they learned in school that day. Your support makes a great difference! We have an open door policy and you are always welcome to share questions and concerns. Together we can help our students be the very best! Issue 3 November, 2012 This is a busy time of year as the holiday season begins. Fall Conferences will be November 5th, 7th, and 8th. Please schedule a time to meet with your child's teacher! Issue 4 December This is a very busy time of year at the school and at home. We know you and your family are preparingfor the holidays. Please join us on Thursday, December 13th for our PTO meeting and holiday program (6:00 - 7:00). We will meet in the school gym at 5:45 pm. Our 4th and 5th grade students will be presenting a musical program. It should be an enjoyable evening. Our PTO board will share financial reports and plans for the school year. It is very important that we work together so that our students can succeed. We hope you and your family have a Very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. Thank you for all you do to support the education of your child. Issue 5 March It is hard to believe that it is already March! This year has gone by very quickly. We have a lot to learn before the end of the school year! Please remember to read with your child, sign their agenda, and make sure they have completed their homework each night. Education is a two-way street and we need to work together. Also, please have your child at school on time. We want to reduce the number of tardies and absences. We have an open door policy: your comments, concerns, and questions are always welcome. Together we can help our students be the very best!
