Battle of the Books Team Information

The Battle of the Books Team competed against seventeen other Davidson County elementary schools on March 21, 2013 and came away as the champions.  We are very proud of our team.  Congratulations to Ava, Hylton, Sarah, Kate, Frances Gray, and Annie.  A plaque was presented to the team at the April Board of Education meeting.  This is now on display in the media center.  They also received a traveling plaque that stays at the school for one year.  Now we look forward to hearing great things about our 5th graders as they move on to the middle school and compete on that team.  We will have try outs for next year's team in Septemeber 2013.  The time to start reading next year's books is now.  The books that the media center has available are pulled and put in a special place for those that want to try out.  We have ordered the books that we do not have in our collection.  Visit the public library this summer to read the books as well.  Remember that you must know which author goes with which book title.
