About Mrs. Collson: I live in the Triad area and have worked at Denton Elementary for three years. I taught in the classroom, in grades 1-5 for nine years, before becoming a reading specialist. I received a degree from Appalachian State University in Elementary Eduacation, and a Masters degree from UNCG in Reading. I love to read and share that same love of reading with the children at Denton.
I live in the Denton area and have worked at Denton Elementary for five years. I received my degree in elementary education from Catawba College. I also am an avid reader, so I feel that I am so lucky to have gotten a job where I can read ALL day. I look forward to teaching Denton's children to enjoy reading. About Mrs. Oliver: My name is Mrs. Oliver and I love reading! But I haven't always loved reading, in fact, it wasn't until the summer after 4th grade that I got hooked on some really cool books. Then I started trading books with my friends, buying books with my allowance, and I even built my own bookshelf! After high school, I decided I wanted to help kids love reading like I do, so I went to Campbell University and UNC-G to become a teacher. I taught grades 1-5, started an adult volunteer reading program, and later became a reading specialist. For 14 years, I coached and learned from other teachers in Davidson County. It is so exciting to now be teaching and learning from young readers at Denton. |
