My wonderful career in education began at Davis-Townsend Elementary where I taugh fifth grade.  I then moved to Reeds Elementary where I taught second and third grades.  I was also a parent trainer at Reeds for kindergarten and first grade.  My passion for education then led me to be the Lead Teacher for Northwest Elementary.  After that, I served as the District Writing Lead Teacher for Davidson County Schools.  During that time, I completed by administrative degree at Appalachian University and became the Assistant Principal for Welcome Elementary.  My career path led me to become the Principal at Churchland Elementary for six years, and I then became the Principal of Southmont Elementary.

The 2013-14 school year will be my fifth year at Southmont Elementary.  I have enjoyed working in this wonderful community and with an outstanding group of parents, students, and staff.  It is my goal to continue to build an educational program that is rigorous and prepares our students for the 21st century.
