Substitute Teacher Information

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Have a clear criminal record
  • Complete DCS Substitute Teacher Course

Completion of Substitute Teacher training DOES NOT guarantee employment with DCS.

You will be exempt from this training requirement only if you hold a current teaching license or are a current student teacher within DCS.
