Qualifying Life Events and Dependent Documentation
Our benefits are pre-taxed and fall under the IRS tax code Section 125, therefore you cannot change your benefits out of open enrollment unless you have a Qualifying Life Change (QLE). Please click the link below for examples of life events and documentation that is required to make changes, including dependent verifications.
Qualifying Life Event Documentation (REQUIRED)
If you have a life event that is listed on the link above, please login to Ebenefits SHP Portal and make the change within 30 days of the QLE.
Increased premiums require payment in full within the first 30 days of change. (Either by payroll deduction or invoice).
If required documentation is missing or incorrect, the change will be denied.
