Welcome to Speech & Language
Welcome! I am the Speech/Language Pathologist at Denton Elementary School, along with Kim Scarboro. I serve Kindergarten-5th grade students at Denton Elementary. Following graduation from Western Carolina University with my Master's Degree in Communication Disorders, I worked in two long-term care facilities. Quickly, I realized that working with children was my passion, and have not looked back since! I have been at DES since 2005; however, I took two years off when my son was born. I have twin sons that are 23 years old and my youngest son just turned 15! I love working with the students at DES, seeing progress made each day, and the smiles that brighten my day, every day!!
