Alternate Pathway Applicants

Davidson County Schools values all applicants for teaching positions. Licensed teacher candidates are given first priority in the interviewing process . If the licensed candidate pool of applicants does not fill the need for a particular position, then applicants with at least a bachelor's degree are considered.

Applications submitted by candidates who have a bachelor's degree or coursework in the content area they are applying for will be reviewed first from the pool of alternate pathway applicants.

The process for completing an application as an unlicensed teacher is the same as that for licensed teachers.  When asked to load your certification or license, you will click "add", under Certification/Licensure status select "don't have any certifications", and save the section.
