The North Davidson High School Air Force Junior ROTC unit completed its Triennial inspection from the US Air Force on 28 February.  The Air Force inspects Junior ROTC Units every 3 years. This is a formal and in-depth examination of all of the cadet corps' activities.  Student leaders presented a Cadet Mission Briefing as the keynote address of the event.
Rob Atkins, Major | US Air Force (retired) from Air Force Junior ROTC Headquarters located at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama conducted the inspection.
The Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and cadets of North Davidson High School in Lexington, NC earned an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards,” which is the highest rating attainable, during their evaluation on the 28th of February 2018.
Colonel Michael J. Humphrey and Chief Master Sergeant Robert W. Blackburn have created a dynamic and supportive learning environment coupled with an excellent community outreach.  These instructors have provided outstanding leadership in administering the cadet-centered citizenship program.
The North Davidson High School cadets have performed exceptionally well and take great pride in leading and accomplishing their unit goals.  The North Davidson High School Air Force Junior ROTC citizenship program is making a positive impact on the cadets, the school, and the Davidson County community.
